The Kansas Aviation Museum will be closed during spring break. There was a notice on their website on March 14 saying:
“In light of COVID-19, the Kansas Aviation Museum has the utmost concern for the health of our patrons as well as our staff and many volunteers. We will be closed to the public starting Sunday, March 15th -Friday the 20th or unless otherwise noted. We thank you for your understanding during this turbulent time and as always, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact us. For immediate updates, please follow us on Facebook at Kansas Aviation Museum.”
The Kansas Aviation Museum will be a fun place to visit over the spring break – and with discounted admission it’s definitely an “on the cheap” activity!
Tuesday, March 17 to Friday, March 20, 2020, admission to the Kansas Aviation Museum will be just $5 for everyone ages 3 and up.
No other coupons or discounts can be applied to the already-discounted rate. (Save those for another visit!)
Also on the two Fridays around spring break (March 13 and March 20), kids up to age 12 can participate in the Little Aviators program. The program is usually reserved for younger children, but they open it up for bigger kids sometimes when school is out.
The Aviation Museum is absolutely a treasure for Wichita. Housed in the historic Wichita Municipal Airport building, the museum showcases the history of aviation in our city with unique displays and airplanes both indoors and out. Be sure to seek out a docent – everything comes alive when you’re listening to the docent tell their stories!
The Kansas Aviation Museum is at 3350 S. George Washington Blvd. in Wichita.
