Junior Football in Wichita: First 400 Register Free

Tackle football in Wichita is back. Wichita Junior Football League is having a deal for you! Thanks to Council Member Brandon Johnson, the first 400 players to register will have their full $120 registration and uniform fees covered. All you’ll pay is a $25 equipment deposit, which can be used as store credit at Play It Again Sports, a local favorite for affordable, gently used gear.

After the first 400 players are signed up, the standard registration fee of $120 takes effect. Set your alarm and register early to secure the deal!

Get ready to hit the field, Wichita! The Wichita Junior Football League is gearing up for another exciting season, and this year, it comes with a serious win for parents’ wallets. Registration for the season opens bright and early on May 7 at 5:00 AM at wichita.gov/football, and if you act fast, your young athlete could play for free!

Registration Closes: Monday, July 28 at 11:59 PM

What’s New with Junior Football:

• All games are played on USD 259 football fields with scoreboards, ample seating, and select press boxes for live announcements.

• Dedicated coaches for 7th & 8th grade teams.

• Teams are now formed by school boundaries, so you grow with future high school teammates

The Wichita Junior Football League is one of the most respected youth leagues in the Midwest, with a deep focus on skill development, sportsmanship, and community pride. Open to boys and girls in grades 1–8, it’s a great way to learn the game, make friends, and represent Wichita with pride.

Junior Football Equipment

Players must provide their own equipment, but every registered player, regardless of whether they are one of the first 400, receives a $25 credit at Play It Again Sports.
