Registration is open for Hook a Kid on Golf in Wichita

GolfWichita wants to Hook a Kid on Golf during spring break. Registration is already open and appears to be filling up fast.

They’ll be offering morning and afternoon sessions this spring at several Wichita public golf courses.

The program is for kids ages 8-16.

Each golfer receives a brand new set of golf clubs, polo shirt, hat, golf balls and tees to keep at the end of the week.

Kids in the Hook a Kid on Golf program will get lessons from golf professionals. They’ll learn about and practice putting, chipping, driving and more.

On the last day of the program, they’ll play three holes on the course and celebrate their accomplishments with a pizza party.

This year it looks like there will be two sessions: March 15-19 and March 22-26, 2021.

The courses where Hook a Kid on Golf will be available include:

  • Auburn Hills, 443 S. 135th St.
  • MacDonald, 840 N. Yale Ave.
  • Arthur B. Sim, 2020 W. Murdock St.
  • Tex Consolver, 1931 S. Tyler Rd.

The fee for the week-long golf program is only $125, which includes the golf clubs and merch.

The deadline to register is February 28, 2021, but you’ll want to visit the registration page on golfwichita.com right away to get your child signed up, because it looks like some of the sessions are already full.
