The Wichita Junior Golf Foundation will offer an eight-week program this summer for beginning golfers ages 9-18. The entire eight weeks only costs $25, which makes it a very low-cost way to get your kids started with golf.
Registration for Junior Golf opens April 4. You probably want to sign up sooner rather than later for this popular program.
The all-volunteer foundation covers green fees, subsidizes the lessons, and furnishes equipment, if needed. This is a great opportunity for young people.
A parent (or family member/guardian) must volunteer a minimum of one day for their child to be able to participate in the program.
The program will teach kids the rules and basic skills of golf, including etiquette, chipping, putting, and full swing. At the end of the season, participants will have the opportunity to play in tournaments at each course.
The beginners’ program meets on Tuesdays at either the MacDonald Park golf course in east Wichita or at Auburn Hills golf course in west Wichita.
Kids who have completed the beginners’ program can participate in the Players programs in subsequent summers.
Registration for the 2022 summer program opens April 4. Get more information about the program, its volunteers, and how to register by visiting WichitaJuniorGolfFoundation.org
