Goddard Fall Festival: Carnival Rides, Fireworks & More

Sharing is caring!

The Goddard Fall Festival is back! If you’re looking for a fun, affordable fall tradition close to home, this is a great option for Affordable Family Fun Day. Happening October 10–12, this annual event is full of small-town charm, free activities, and all the classic fall fun your family could want. This is one of over 20+ Fall Festivals taking place in and around Wichita.

As a Wichita mom, I’ve always appreciated when a festival brings together the best parts of the season, like cozy food, friendly faces, and tons of things to do. Just a quick drive west on Kellogg, Goddard’s festival delivers all of that and more.

  • Carnival rides, bingo, and a free Dive-in Movie at Blast Off Bay

Saturday, October 11 – Main Event Day

  • Start the day with a community breakfast

  • Parade through downtown Goddard – full of floats, bands, and local pride

  • Vendor shopping, food trucks, and live entertainment all day

  • Activities for all ages:

    • Petting zoo

    • Kids’ bounce house area

    • Pancake flipping contest

    • Donut-eating contest

    • Mechanical bull rides

  • Beer garden, cornhole tournament, and live music Saturday night

Since the 1960s, the Goddard Fall Festival has been a seasonal staple. What began as a harvest celebration has grown into a full-blown fall event, drawing in folks from across Sedgwick County. It’s one of those festivals where kids can roam safely, parents can relax with a funnel cake or local brew, and everyone walks away with a smile.

My girls and I always enjoy the parade, petting zoo, and seeing familiar faces in the vendor booths. It’s community fun at its best, and every year there’s something new to look forward to.

Event Summary:

Time: Various times by activity (parade, vendor shopping, contests, etc.)

Cost: Most activities are free; some may have small fees (carnival rides, food, etc.)

Location: Throughout Goddard, with main events centered at Means Park and downtown Goddard
Address: Means Park, 200 S Main St, Goddard, KS 67052

Mark your calendar and bring the family because Goddard’s Fall Festival is everything we love about fall, right in our backyard.
