Botanica has joined the ranks of more than 225 cultural institutions across the United State in participating in Bank of America’s Museums on Us program.
The program offers Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, and Bank of America Private Bank (U.S. Trust) credit and debit card holders free admission to participating museums and arts, educational, and cultural institutions on the first full weekend of every month.
Museums on Us Wichita
Wichita has two participating museums in the Museums on Us program. Botanica was the first Wichita attraction to join the program here, and The Kansas African American Museum joined the following year.
However, if you are a qualifying cardholder, remember this program when you go out of town. It is valid at arts and cultural places in 123 U.S. cities, including prestigious museums like the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and many others.
Although participating institutions are primarily museum, the program also includes several other botanical gardens, some science centers, at least one zoo, a wildlife preserve, and a couple aquariums.
For a complete listing of Museums on Us participating museums and other program information, visit www.bankofamerica.com/museums.
To get in to Botanica free, just present your qualifying card and valid photo ID on the first full weekend of the month during regular business hours. (Note: Botanica is open from 1-5 p.m. on Sundays from April through October. Other months it’s open Monday through Saturday only.)
The free admission offer excludes special events, fundraisers and ticketed shows. And only the cardholder gets free admission to Botanica; other guests pay regular admission.
We do have a list of other discounted and free museum days in Wichita here. You can use this to plan your inexpensive visits throughout the year!
