Home Depot Free Kids Workshops 2026

Sharing is caring!

Give your children a hands-on experience with Home Depot’s FREE in-store Kids Workshops. Every first Saturday of the month, from 9 a.m. to noon, Home Depot offers workshops for kids that include a kit with all materials needed to complete the project, totally free! This activity is a unique opportunity to spend quality time with your child while trying new things and harnessing hand-eye coordination, motor skills, and creativity.

  • The crafts usually consist of something you must hammer or glue together and then paint. As mentioned above, all materials will be provided for you! These workshops’ projects are birdhouses, picture frames, planters, ornaments, and miniature cars/planes. Visit this link to see the upcoming projects!
  • There is no need to register; ask a friendly associate where their workshop is, and you will be handed the kit, along with the coveted orange children’s apron and workshop badge, once you enter. If you want to ensure a kit is waiting for you, you can register online by visiting this page and selecting the sign-up button under In-Store Kids Workshops.
  • The age of the child depends on their motor skill ability, but the suggested age would be approx. From ages 4-8.

Home Depot is also an excellent hub for all DIY children’s crafts and projects. This page offers a great list of projects you can do at home. The best part about this web page is that it provides project ideas, videos of the project with step-by-step instructions, and even a supply buying guide!
