The Great Plains Nature Center (GPNC) and the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism (KDWPT) will host FREE Family Fishing Nights again this summer. Fishing equipment and bait is provided at no cost – this will be a great, free way to spend time with the kids outdoors.
The free family fishing nights are open to participants of all ages and abilities. (Children must be accompanied by an adult.) Space is limited, so you do need to register. Include all adults and children who will be attending.
Family fishing nights will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Chisholm Island Pond on the grounds of the Great Plains Nature Center at 6232 E 29th St. N. in Wichita. Everyone will meet in the parking lot first.
– All fishing equipment and tackle is provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own.
– Children must be supervised by a responsible adult during the event.
– Meet in the parking lot just to the west of the Great Plains Nature Center at 6:00 PM.
– Printed tickets are not required to attend.
– Please register each person individually (including all adults and children.)
