Sharing is caring!
This summer, Barnes & Noble wants kids to go on an adventure without ever leaving their backyard or bedroom. All they need is a good book and a vivid imagination.
Barnes & Noble’s Summer Reading Program rewards kids (grades one through six) with a FREE book after they’ve read a designated number of books.

These books can be new books you purchase from Barnes and Noble BUT = they don’t have to be. They can also be library books, books borrowed from friends, books from the kids’ section of any department store – you get the idea.
To get started, download a reading journal from the BN website and help kids keep track of their literary adventures (aka the books they’ve read) in their Reading Journal.
Once the reading journal is complete, young readers can take it to any participating location (during the designated summer reading journal dates) to pick out a well-deserved reward from a limited selection of children’s books. The program runs annually during the summer.
This year, Barnes and Noble will also offer a lot of summer reading selections for teens and adults as well, with some at a discount. See the store for more details. (Alas, it does not include a free book. 🙁 )
Don’t forget, the bookstore also offers a FREE rewards club with special offers — all year-long, including a special offer on your birthday.
