Blake Shelton is coming to INTRUST Bank Arena on March 11, and Wichita is throwing a pre-party at Naftzger Park before the concert.
Naftzger Park is officially re-opening to the public after undergoing extensive renovations. The Naftzger Park Grand Opening isn’t scheduled until March 12, but this pre-party will give you a sneak peek!
The party starts at around 4 p.m. and lasts until 7:30 p.m. This is an all-ages event that’s free and open to the public.
I have no idea where you’re going to find free parking, though. There are spots all around the area, but some of them are paid lots for the Arena and I imagine it’s going to be busy that night.
Since this will be on a Wednesday night, maybe it won’t be too bad. Check to see if you can park somewhere and hop the free Q-Line Trolley. On weeknights it runs from 5-11 p.m. along Douglas all the way from Seneca to Hydraulic. You can also check out Downtown Wichita’s “Get Around: Parking” page to see where parking is available nearby.
Looks like this will be fun – whether or not you’re going to the concert! For more information, see the Eventbrite page for it here.

There is a large free public parking lot owned by Sedgwick County on Saint Francis Street between 2nd and 1st Streets. This is about 2 blocks north of Naftzger Park. An easy walk.
This is awesome info, Barbara! Thank you!!!
Oh yes! The parking lot by the Rotary Club art/statue thing!
