Looking for something to do? Visit Botanica! If you’re looking to get out of the house and be surrounded by lush gardens and family-friendly fun, Botanica has you covered. With a multitude of activities happening the week of June 18-24, there is something new to experience at Botanica.
There is something for everyone scheduled at Botanica. Whether you’re celebrating Dad for Father’s Day, wanting to learn more about the pollinators in our ecosystem, or just looking for the perfect opportunity to finally view Botanica’s newest dinosaur exhibit, there’s no better time than now to visit Wichita’s gardens.
Botanica June Events 2023:
1. Father’s Day (June 18th) – For Father’s Day, Dad receives FREE admission to the gardens all day long! There will also be cocktails and beer available for purchase and Botanica’s Scholastic Book Fair will be open so the family can add a few new books to the home library.

2. Pollinator Week (June 20th-24th) – Join Botanica for an un-BEE-lievably fun week! Plan a special trip from June 20 – June 24 to learn more about all the amazing pollinators in our environment. Activities during Pollinator Week are included with admission. If you can’t make it to the gardens during Pollinator Week, don’t worry! Botanica invites guests of all ages to participate in educational beekeeping activities as part of their weekly program, Busy Bee Wednesdays. Highlighting those buzzworthy insects, Busy Bee Wednesdays occur each Wednesday through September in the Alexander Bee House from 9 am-1 pm.
3. “Dinosaurs Around the World” Exhibit – Through September 17, 2023, visitors can experience the one-of-a-kind, “Dinosaurs Around the World: The Great Outdoors,” exhibit at Botanica. The exhibit is included with general admission and features 10 animatronic dinosaurs nestled in throughout the gardens. Several of the dinosaurs are over 27 feet long! Visitors are encouraged to learn and make memories with these enormous kings of the past. Dinosaurs include the mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex of North America, the bizarre, bony-crested Oviraptor from Mongolia, and many more! The exhibit will be accompanied by dino-riffic daily activities, art projects, dino tours, giant dinosaur puzzles and special events.
4. Classes and Tours – There are also a variety of classes, programs and tours available
including bee and honey tasting tours, storytime, watercolor classes, a rose garden tour,
and so much more.
There’s Always More to See within Botanica’s Gardens
The 20 acres of the ever-changing botanical wonderland houses more than 30 themed areas and over 4,000 plant species. As guests wind through the gardens, they will also discover additional gems. Inspiring sculptures, relaxing water features, and even a ride on a restored 1949 carousel means Botanica is fun for the whole family.
