Jabara’s Carpet Outlet is doing it again—giving away FREE Rugs for Teachers! They want to show their appreciation by hosting the 7th annual Back to School Rug Giveaway!

Starting August 11, 2025, Jabara’s is showing gratitude to all the dedicated teachers in the area by giving away over 500 FREE rugs for classrooms.  

All K-12 teachers who work for a private or public school in or around Wichita, Kansas, can come in at their convenience during store hours to pick up their free rug while supplies last. More information is below.

Whether you’re looking for budget-friendly clothing, affordable school supplies, or unique thrift finds, these stores offer a wide variety of options to meet your needs and help you save money.

About the FREE Rug Giveaway from Jabara’s Carpet Outlet:

  • A current, valid teacher ID is required. These unbound rugs will vary in color and size, but most will be between 6’x’6 and 6’x9′ in size. All rugs are being made by Jabara’s using 1st quality carpet from their carpet remnants.
  • You can stop by during regular store hours at Jabara’s Carpet Outlet, 1816 N. Broadway in Wichita, Kansas.  You can find store hours and other information here.
  • They will hand out one rug per person while supplies last. (up to 500!)
  • All rugs are made from carpet remnants and will vary in size and color. Size, color, and style will not be guaranteed.
  • Instead of making this a one-day event like in years past, this opportunity will take place all month long. We will kick off the Rug Giveaway on Monday, August 8th! All teachers in the Wichita and surrounding area are free to come in at their convenience to pick up their free rug while supplies last.
