Bring your family and some lawn chairs to Stearman Field in Benton, KS on October 19 for the annual Pumpkin Drop and Halloween Bash.
It’s a fun, family-friendly Halloween event!
You get to watch airplanes will fly in and drop pumpkins on the target below beginning at 1 p.m.
Kids can wear their costumes for this event and even participate in a costume contest in the afternoon. Face painting will be available too at various price levels from free to $10.
The costume contest will be at about 3:30 p.m. The pumpkin drop usually lasts a couple of hours, depending on how many pilots sign up to participate.
Later in the evening, live music will be provided by Kapybara beginning at around 6 p.m., and adults can take their turn at a costume contest during at about 10 p.m.
There’s no admission fee for this event; just plan some spending money for food, beverages, and face painting.
Stearman Field Bar and Grill will be serving from a limited menu all day, and they’ll have a beer garden and concession stand outside as well. (No coolers allowed.)
