Thanks to Emily for alerting me to this event.
The Air Capital Comic Con will be held in Wichita Saturday and Sunday, November 16 and 17, 2019 at the Century II Convention Center.
Details are TBA, but the event usually features a costume contest, cosplay, comics and toys for sale, visiting artists and writers, and lots and lots of comic enthusiasts to mingle with.
Admission has been FREE for children 12 and younger, and from $5 to $12 for everyone else (see below for details).
They might have a Veterans Discount available (at the box office only). They had one last year but the website didn’t mention what amount the discount will be.
Air Capital Comic Con was founded by a group of Wichita natives who drew inspiration from larger national shows such as Heroes Convention, Baltimore Comic-con, and Appleseed Con in Indiana, and will focus on providing a welcoming and fun environment for fans, publishers, artists, and genre entertainment.
At the Wichita comic con, you’ll find nearly 10,000 square feet of artists, panels, and vendors celebrating the world of comic books, cartoon art, video games, television and movie entertainment, science fiction and internet culture.
Artists and writers booked for the convention include both established professionals as well as up-and-coming comic pros.
