Wichita Chalk Art Festival in Old Town

Chalk Fest welcomes everyone to come down and enjoy the water fountains, music, watch the Artists Battle Rounds, and make their own sidewalk art with chalk for FREE.  The Wichita Chalk Art Festival will be held in Old Town Square on Saturday, August 6, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In addition to free activities this year, you can purchase an all-inclusive wristband for Chalk Fest that includes one of each of the following activities:

    • sno-cone
    • crafts
    • face painting
    • water games
    • photo booth
    • bottle of water
    • raffle ticket
    • chalk board truck

Wristbands are only $5, or $3 for ages 12 and under and are available for purchase at Wendy’s locations in Andover, Derby, Park City & Wichita. You may also purchase them online at www.kansaskids.org, click donate, select events and select wristbands in the drop down menu. ? Activities may also be purchased outside of the wristbands for $5 at each booth. All proceeds benefits the EmberHope’s Community of Hope Fund.

The festival lends itself well to photographs, so bring your phone or camera. Kids can splash in the interactive fountains while you’re there, so you may want to brings some towels and sunscreen, too!

Food trucks will be there, so you may also want to bring some cash for lunch.

Date: Saturday, August 6, 2016
Time: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Location: Old Town Square, 2nd and Mead in Wichita
Cost: FREE to attend; wristbands are $5 adults; $3 kids 12 and younger
