The annual WSU Spring Family Carnival will be held this month on campus.
The Family Carnival is a much anticipated tradition at Wichita State University, hosted every year by the WSU Student Activities Council.
This fun family event features inflatables, a petting zoo, and tons of carnival games, food trucks, activities, and treats!
Admission is FREE and open to the public. Many of the activities require inexpensive tickets (although several activities are completely free).
Activity tickets are just 25¢ each or 5 for $1. (Cash or check only.) Cash concessions may also be offered via the food trucks, so plan a little bit of spending money for those. Go to the link below where, for a limited time, you can get a coupon for a few FREE tickets!
Examples of spring carnival activities that require tickets:
- Inflatables 2-3 tickets each
- Games 1-2 tickets each
- Snack Stand (example: cotton candy) 2-4 tickets each
Free activities in 2022 include:
- Petting zoo
- Button-making craft
- Balloon artists
- Color craft station
- Bubble fun tent
- Face painting
- Giant Jenga
Every year I hear from families who say this is really a fun event. Make sure to take the kiddos if you have the afternoon free!
The fun and games will be set up in the WSU Rhatigan Student Center Courtyard on the WSU campus, which is near 17th and Oliver.
