Live the Good Life for Less & Never Miss a Deal

Win $1000 for you and $1000 for your school district

Sharing is caring!

Vote for your school district and be entered to win $1000 for you and $1000 for your school. A new local business called Wichita Funds for Schools is running the promotion as a way to get the word out about its launch on Monday.

There isn’t much not to like here: Wichita Funds for Schools will operate on the group-buying concept like others you’ve heard about here at Wichita on the Cheap, offering discounts of around 50% at area businesses, but this one will donate 10% of every deal to area school districts.

To cast your vote and be entered into the giveaway, you’ll need to give them an email address and check the box opting in to receive the deal emails. Vote for your school before Saturday and look for the first deal on Monday, September 13, 2010.

I voted.

In the video below, Anita Cochran explains how Wichita Funds for Schools will work, and why it’s a win/win/win for schools, area businesses, and for you.

  1. Cindy, on behalf of Wichita Funds For School, I want to let you know that talks were had with Goddard, just like they were with the other districts on board. When we spoke, the timing wasn’t right for them to participate. We want to create that win! win! win! situation so if they change their mind, we are still ready to talk!

Just wanted to clarify because we would hate to be boycotted by anyone!

  2. I have to retract what I said… it is not the fault of WFFS.. Goddard declined. Goddard parents and supporters… Annette Singletary is the Director of Community Relations asingletary@goddardusd.com. Let her know you want to see Goddard participate!

  3. I am actually at the point of overall boycotting this site indefinitely for launching sweepstakes and giveaways without all area districts. Goddard, of all districts, is as large as Maize and should have been included. If “talks” still needed to occur, then contests such as this should have waited.
