If you’re the parent of a teenager and want to learn ways to protect your child from online bullying, be sure to attend the September Via Christi Women’s Connection luncheon.
In recent years, there has been a dramatic rise in suicide by children and adolescents attributed to online bullying. Amy Seery, MD, a pediatrician with Via Christi Clinic Family Medicine, will discusses why this trend is occurring and teach parents how they can protect their children, watch for danger signs and help kids be safe cybercitizens.

If you want to do it even more “on the cheap”, wait until October and go to the same lecture at KU Med for free. You can bring your own lunch to their lectures. 🙂
Thanks for the tip. I had something written up last year here about the KU Med lectures – I believe they were called Lunch & Learn? Anyway, I guess from a cost perspective, both are great deals. It would just be a matter of finding the one that works best with your schedule — $5 for lunch is pretty good. 🙂
Oops. I thought I linked their series on my post. I guess I linked it to my name, lol. …. 5 bucks is good for eating out, but you can make a sack lunch a lot cheaper than that. 😉
