Live the Good Life for Less & Never Miss a Deal

Tot Tuesdays at the Sedgwick County Zoo

Sharing is caring!

Tot Tuesdays at the Sedgwick County Zoo are back, and if you have little ones ages 3 to 5, this is one of the best free activities for families in Wichita. As a Wichita mom of two girls, I’m always looking for something hands-on, fun, and educational that doesn’t cost a fortune, and Tot Tuesdays are exactly that.

Held on the fourth Tuesday of each month, these sessions offer themed activities designed just for early learners and their participating adult. Kids explore animals, nature, stories, and simple science through movement, crafts, and imaginative play. It’s a relaxed, kid-friendly way to introduce little ones to the world around them.

One of the best parts is that Tot Tuesdays take place inside the Cargill Learning Center, which is open to the public. That means you do not have to pay zoo admission to attend the program. If you choose to enter the zoo before or after the event, you’ll pay regular admission, but the Tot Tuesday program itself is completely free with no registration required.

Tot Tuesdays are from 10:30-11 am, so arrive a little bit early to get your spot on the fourth Tuesday of the month.

These mornings are simple, sweet, and budget-friendly, which is perfect for Wichita families looking to keep little ones learning and engaged. My daughters always loved activities like this when they were younger, and it’s such an easy outing when you want something fun without spending a ton.
