If you don’t have to get up early on Tuesdays, here’s a fun way to spend Monday evenings.
Big Screen Wichita, Fast Print, T-95, World Studios ICT, and Dominion Halloween have teamed up with the Starlite Drive-In theater to present Scary Movie Mondays, a series filled with scary movies that will send shivers down your spine.
Ten horror classics will show over four nights. That’s three double-features and one triple-feature under the stars at the drive-in; just like old times.
The theater will have carload pricing at $15 per carload, or the $1o per-person price, whichever is cheaper. (We like how they think!), and for the ninth year, they will raise funds for the L.A.P.P. animal shelter. A portion of the ticket prices will be donated, and you are welcome to purchase festival T-shirts, posters, and buttons toward this cause, too.
Here’s the schedule of what’s showing this fall–all shows start at 7:30 p.m.:
Monday, September 20, Return of the Living Dead and The Exorcist III: Legion
Monday, September 27, Monster Squad and Night of the Creeps
Monday, October 4, A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge, Alone in the Dark (1982 classic slasher film), and a secret third movie. (Hmmm, any guesses?)
Monday, October 11, The Thing From Another World (made in 1951, for you vintage movie buffs), John Carpenter’s The Thing.
