Sharing is caring!
If you were thinking about getting a Sam’s Club membership, now’s a great time to do it! I’ve never seen a better price unless you count their regular “free after gift card” deals. (It’s hard to beat free.)
But if that kind of deal is just not your speed, then you can join Sam’s for just $8 this week. But hurry! This 4th of July offer expires June 25, 2022 and it has to be redeemed in-store:
For families or those with the space to buy in large quantity, a warehouse store membership makes sense — dollars and cents — especially these days, when you want to stock up on necessities so as to make fewer shopping trips.
If you have never shopped Sam’s Club, it’s pretty cool. Part of Walmart, Sam’s Club is a membership warehouse club.
Instead of stocking every item in every available brand, Sam’s Club merchants do their homework for members, stocking the right products and purchasing them in large quantities, passing on the savings to members.
The brands they do carry are always very good quality, including the Members Mark store brand. You’ll also find more recognizable brands such as Gorton’s, BirdsEye, Jose Ole, Tide, Downy, Shark, Kitchenaid, Cuisinart, etc. They consistently have the best prices on cleaning supplies and printer paper.
Of course, not everything at Sam’s is cheaper than at other stores, so you do have to comparison shop, but most things are priced so well that most of us are willing to have 18 tons of it sitting around the house for a while
There’s also an optical department and tire and battery center, where members can save even more.
Sam’s Club also provides a variety of member benefits including special sales, bulk quantities (for example, instead of a 6-roll pack of toilet paper, you can buy a 24-roll pack), free health screenings and members-only savings on gasoline.
Sam’s Club Membership deals
Here are the usual Sam’s Club membership deals (not currently available, so check back).
Purchase these two ‘free after gift card’ membership deals. We like it because you actually receive gift card in the same amount that you spend for the membership. And, with a membership you can also order online and skip the trip to the warehouse altogether.
I usually expect to see Sam’s Club membership deals at certain times of the year, and with the holidays coming up, this is one of the best times. And at such good prices!
You have two deals to choose from right now:
Directly from Sam’s Club: Purchase $45 membership, get a $45 eGiftCard (online only) This makes it essentially free after gift card, and no third party to deal with.Sam’s Club Groupon: $20 Sam’s Club membership package with $20 eGiftCard Cheaper up front and comes with pie, but you have to use Scan & Go.
Pick whichever one you want, and save money! It’s that simple. What great, money-saving deals.
These offers are valid for new Sam’s Club Members only; not valid for those with a current membership or those who were Sam’s Club members less than 6 months prior. Offer valid for U.S. Sam’s Clubs only; not valid in Puerto Rico locations.
Membership will be opted in to auto-renewal program upon first transaction. (You need to know this in case you don’t want your membership to auto-renew next year.)

If I sign up for the Sam’s groupon deal and decide after a year that I don’t want to renew, how do I cancel? I’d appreciate your help with this.
Canceling my Sam’s Club membership is not something I’ve done before. (I’ve been a continuous member for a really long time!) But on the Sam’s Club website terms & conditions page, it says members may cancel their membership any time, or cancel enrollment in the auto-renew program at any time in Clubs (i.e. in the store), or by calling a toll free number, or online through your account. Here’s a link to the page where I found this: https://www.samsclub.com/sams/html/help/terms-and-conditions.html
It’s a long document, so the quickest way to find it is to do CTRL-F on your keyboard and type in the word “Cancel” until you find the section titled “Membership Renewal and Cancellation.”
And there might be an easier page to find this info on. That’s just what I found when I did a Google search. The way you would most likely cancel the auto-renew is to go to the Customer Service counter inside your Sam’s Club store. They’ve always been pretty helpful for us.
