Poldark Season 4 opening reception and advance screening in Wichita

Sharing is caring!

Poldark Season 4

If you can stand the suspense, KPTS Wichita is hosting a FREE screening of the first hour of Poldark Season 4 on September 13. And they’ll have a reception along with it.

If you haven’t seen the show yet, it’s the story of “the chivalrous and perilously proud crusader of Cornwall” (TV Guide), Ross Poldark, who returns to his home in England after the American Revolution to find that his father has died, his sweetheart is engaged to his cousin, and his inheritance is crumbling. From that sad state of affairs, due to his determination and “Poldark stubbornness,” along with the loyalty and love of his friends, rise hope and happiness. The series is worthy of binge-watching, so catch up on Seasons 1-3 with a free 30-day trial of Amazon Prime (affiliate) and a premium channel subscription, which is about $5 or $6 if I remember correctly.

In addition to watching on Amazon Prime, for a $75 one-time gift or $6.25 per month, people can support KPTS and gain access to a new program called Passport. This allows KPTS members to watch all your favorite PBS shows, including Poldark, Downton Abby, Nova, Nature and much more.

The new season of Poldark on MASTERPIECE begins on channel 8 – KPTS September 30, but you don’t have to wait until then. Join KPTS and other Poldark fans at the Wichita Wichita Advanced Learning Library on Thursday, September 13 for an advance screening of the first hour of Season 4.

At this FREE event, they’ll serve light refreshments and you can get your photo taken with a Ross Poldark cutout. Plus, you can enter a Poldark prize drawing.

Doors open for the event at 5 p.m. and the screening begins at 6 p.m.

The Advanced Learning Library is located at 711 W. 2nd Street in Wichita, Kansas.

On September 30, watch the two-hour Poldark season premiere from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
