National Cheeseburger Day Deals 2020

We love made-up food holidays that mean everyone gets a good deal! (And I mean no disrespect – it’s just that someone, somewhere makes up these days, right?)

Whatever its origins, National Cheeseburger Day has been declared to be September 18, and we are at this very moment scouring the city in search of National Cheeseburger Day deals in the Wichita area to help you celebrate your love of cheeseburgers. (We usually hear about them closer to the date, so be sure to check back in the weeks ahead.) If you hear about one we don’t have yet, give us a shout in the comments section!

Last year, we saw cheeseburger day deals from Red Robin, McDonalds, Sonic, and Wendy’s. No telling which burger joints will participate, but here’s what we know so far…

Red Robin National Cheeseburger Day Deal

This cheeseburger day deal is full of yum. Red Robin will offer a buy-one-get-one 50% off deal on any of its Gourmet and Finest burgers. If you’re ordering online just use the promo code BOGO.

And instead of celebrating only one day, this National Cheeseburger Day deal will be available all week long. For more info, visit the Red Robin Facebook page here.

McDonald’s National Cheeseburger Day Deal

This may vary from location to location, so definitely double-check before you order! But here’s what our neighbor to the west (in Colorado) heard from McDonalds:

“National Cheeseburger Day is tomorrow, Sept. 18, and McDonald’s is celebrating with an offer for a $0.50 McDonald’s Double Cheeseburger! Limit one per customer. To get this deal: use Mobile Order and Pay, add the deal to your order or scan the deal code at the Drive Thru, Front Counter or Kiosk, where applicable.”

Southeast Carryout

Wichita’s Southeast Carryout has announced a National Cheeseburger Day deal for 2020 on its Facebook page that’s also a charity fundraiser. Get a regular cheeseburger for only $2 on Sept. 18, 2020. For every cheeseburger sold, they’ll donate a dollar to Ketch. 

Applebees National Cheeseburger Day deal

Applebees is joining the ranks of restaurants offering National Cheeseburger Day deals on September 18 with a promotional price on its Classic Bacon Cheeseburger and endless fries for $8.99.

Applebee’s Classic Bacon Cheeseburger is one of the Handcrafted Burgers, made with your choice of two cheese slices (American, Cheddar, Swiss, or Pepper Jack), two strips of Applewood-smoked bacon and topped with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles, all packaged up on a Brioche bun.

Along with the fries, this one-day only deal is a steal for National Cheeseburger Day!

Five Guys

Five Guys alluded to “something special” for National Cheeseburger Day on September 18 and apparently ketchup will be involved. We don’t know what it is.

Wendy’s

Wendy’s has introduced the Pretzel Bacon Pub Cheesebuger, for a limited time, for $5.69. (Prices might vary by location.) The burger features a soft pretzel bun, a quarter pound of beef, Muenster cheese, three strips of Applewood smoked bacon, smoky honey mustard, warm beer cheese sauce, fried onions and pickles.

Denny’s

Denny’s cheeseburger-centric Family Packs make a great meal any day, especially National Cheeseburger Day.

Build Your Own Cheeseburger Pack: Delicious cheeseburgers for four, stacked with four hand-pressed 100% beef patties topped with American cheese with option to add custom toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pickles, mayo, ketchup, and mustard. Each patty is served between two brioche buns and with a side of wavy-cut fries. We priced the Cheeseburger Pack locally at $27.99 (plus tax).

Breakfast and Burger Combo Pack: Four buttermilk pancakes, four scrambled eggs, two bacon strips, two sausage links and hash browns. Sonic Family Night deal (before National Cheeseburger Day!)

If you don’t mind celebrating a little bit early, you can drive in to Sonic for some 1/2 price cheeseburgers on Tuesday night. We won’t call you out on it. (Consider it training for the real day.) And who knows? Sonic might decide to have a deal on the 18th as well.
