Goodwill Industries of Kansas will reopen stores on Monday, May 4, now that the Governor has lifted some of the restrictions that have been in place.
According to the Goodwill KS website, all stores will re-open except for Emporia. You can shop or bring in items to donate.
The stores will have shortened hours at first, opening Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
A few things they say they’re doing to help keep customers and staff safe:
- Practicing safe social distancing
- Enhancing sanitation practices throughout store, including carts, doors & hard surfaces
- Encouraging use of face masks by all
- Offering no-contact payment options
- Accepting no-contact donations
Goodwill has many stores in the immediate Wichita area and in neighboring towns.

Is Goodwill expecting clothing donations at the Maize Road store at this time?
As I understand it, Lee, all the locations that are open are accepting donations. You may need to call or check their website as to what hours they will be open for that.
