The Investigative Summer STEM Program (ISSP) is designed to enhance enthusiasm and interest of high school sophomores, juniors and seniors in the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields, and motivate them through exploration and testing of ideas for STEM careers. This year students will be working on DNA CRISPR gene editing, synthesis of acetaminophen, alternative energy design, forensic analysis, microbiology investigations, an much much more! The program is offered in response to a national concern about the diminishing number of young people pursuing careers in the STEM fields.
