Sharing is caring!
Give blood and the American Red Cross will reward you with exclusive NASCAR racing gear and collectibles. It’s a loyalty program designed to encourage people to remember to make regular blood donations. Log your blood donations at the Red Cross Racing website to earn points that add up to prizes.
If you’re not a NASCAR fan, you can donate your points back to the Red Cross “Service to the Armed Forces” program, or choose from other prizes like a garden tool set or a tripod travel chair.
Find a Red Cross blood drive near you and make an appointment online at RedCrossBlood.org.

Regardless of whether you’re interested in points and prizes, you may want to consider donating blood. The summer months usually see a decline in blood donations, so all types are needed to keep up the supply. Type O Negative is in especially high demand because it can be transfused to patients with any blood type, especially in emergency situations.
Thanks to @RedCrossBloodKS for the tip!

Thanks for the shout out. We are already seeing our blood supply going down at American Red Cross, and the summer is just beginning.
Our supply of O negative blood (the kind used on trauma patients when there isn’t time to type their blood) have dropped to critically low levels. If you are type O+ or 0-, please consider making an appointment today at http://www.redcrossblood.org or stop by our donor center at 707 N. Main.
Thanks.
