Since its inception in 1987, the Sedgwick County Extension Master Gardener Volunteer program has been dedicated to serving the community through gardening education and outreach. Over the years, more than 921 Sedgwick County residents have received Master Gardener training from K-State Research & Extension. In return, Master Gardeners generously contribute their time and expertise through various volunteer activities such as public presentations, youth gardening programs, plant clinics, and maintaining the Extension Arboretum and demonstration gardens, enriching the community in numerous ways.
