Get a wildly different outdoor experience this Wednesday, August 25, when g2g Outside explores Tanganyika Wildlife Park.
Show up before 6 p.m. to check in with the g2g Outside crew. (Do not go to the main ticket counter or you’ll be charged the full admission price.)
UPDATE: Families who have not previously attended a g2g Outside event will get in at a fantastic discounted rate of $5 per person. That’s nearly a 60% discount off the regular admission price for adults and almost 40% off the price of a child’s admission.
Families who have previously attended a g2g Outside event will get in free.
There’s usually a short introduction and then you go into the park where they often have a tour or presentation and free time to explore the attraction on your own.
And don’t forget to bring your g2g Passport to get it stamped. Family outdoor play kits with g2g bandannas, frisbees, first aid kit, sunscreen, bug spray, and more are available at the Extension office for those who have completed 10Passport activities.
g2gOutside (Got to Go Outside) is a program initiated by the Sedgwick County Extension, funded by the Kansas Health Foundation and operating in partnership with the City of Wichita, the Department of Parks and Recreation, and several other local organizations, to encourage families to get outside, explore, and play together.
How many people usually show up at these G2G events? I am thinking about going to the Tanganyika event but I am curious about how crowded it will be.
I expect it will be a well-attended event. The g2g Outside events I’ve been to haven’t been so crowded that you couldn’t enjoy yourself, but I think the Tanganyika outing will be pretty popular!
