This Saturday I’ll be part of a panel discussing money topics specifically as they relate to women. The Kansas Consumer Credit Counseling Service has put together a FREE brunch for women with the goal of empowering women to make sound financial choices.
Speakers for the day include:
Jo Lynn Bright | Program Director and Counselor at HopeNet, Inc.
Marta Curry | Wealth Advisor at Driven Wealth Strategies
Carolyn Erickson | Owner and Publisher Wichita on the Cheap
Denise Groene | State Director, Better Business Bureau
Cori Kohlmeier | Owner & President Advantage Marketing LLC
Aggie Tuxhorn | Vice President, Marketing Manager Emprise Bank
Any woman can attend and it is free, but registration is required. They have up to 125 spots for the brunch.
It’s important to note that this will not be a sales pitch for any product. The KSCCC is a non-profit community service organization that provides financial education and counseling.
My topic will be on saving money (of course!) but other topics that day will include planning for retirement, the psychology of money, entrepreneurship, and protecting your identity.
Be sure to come up and say hi!
Brunch begins at 9:30 a.m. and the panel starts at 10 a.m., followed by presentations by the speakers.
In addition to the FREE brunch, they’ll also be giving away door prizes.
To register, call 265-2000.
This will be an adult-only event and no childcare will be provided. Learn more at kscccs.org/womenmoneybrunch/
