Free Wichita Audubon Program on “Birds of Kansas”

Sharing is caring!

Birds of Kansas GPNC

Tuesday, September 20, 2011, the Wichita Audubon Society will present a free program about the birds of Kansas. Professor emeritus Max Thompson, and Great Plains Nature Center Director Bob Gress will spend time discussing research and photography that went into the newly-published “Birds of Kansas” publication.

The talk will take place at the Great Plains Nature Center auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Copies of Birds of Kansas will be available for sale at the event.

Prior to the program, at 5:45 p.m., the two experts will join Audubon Society members at Ryan’s restaurant on North Rock Road. Everyone is invited, and will be responsible for purchasing their own dinners.

For more information, contact Carol Cumberland at 316-685-4867 or visit the Wichita Audubon Society website or the Great Plains Nature Center website.
