In May and June, NewMarket Square in west Wichita will host a series of free outdoor concerts on the plaza. Bring a blanket or chair for the Arts aMaize Twilight Thursday concerts, which are open to the public and suitable for all ages.
Performers represent a variety of musical genres. Concerts begin at 7:35 p.m., weather permitting, on the following dates:
- May 19 – Cherokee Maidens, Western Swing
- [CANCELED because of rain] May 26 – Pop & The Boys, Bluegrass Pop
- June 16 – Nouveau Quintet, Gypsy Jazz
- June 30 – Senseny Community Band, American Band
- [RESCHEDULED, yay!] July 17 – Pop & The Boys, Bluegrass Pop

Has the concert tonight been moved or cancelled?
Thank you for asking, Diane. I realized I didn’t include a link to find out about weather-related schedule changes (because I wasn’t sure where to check – but I found it). According to the NewMarket Sqaure Facebook page, the concert for tonight has been cancelled because of the weather.
