tried to go this morning, 6/19/13.
that theater is closed, out of business.
Yes it is. This is an old post. The inexpensive (but not free) childrens’ movies this year are at the Palace and Derby Plaza theaters. Here are the links to current (2013) info for those:
Derby: http://wichitaonthecheap.com/2013/06/11/derby-plaza-theater-cheap-kids-movies/
Palace: http://wichitaonthecheap.com/2013/06/11/cheap-kids-movies-at-the-palace/
The library also has kids movies to check out for free (not the same as a theater, I know), and there are some ongoing deals that may occasionally be appropriate for kids in this post “Movies on the Cheap,” here: http://wichitaonthecheap.com/movies-on-the-cheap/
Also, if you want to find out about other free/inexpensive kids’ activities, consider signing up to Wichita on the Cheap emails (they are free). I don’t write exclusively about kids’ stuff – you’ll find entertainment options for just about every age group here – but there are lots of family-friendly activities.
Right off the top of my head, I can think of the $1 admission this coming Saturday to several area attractions, free Jazz concerts at Bradley Fair (we bring our kids!), free storytimes at various locations, etc.
Check out the “Cheap This Week” tab here too; it’s a list of affordable events that I’ve written about that are happening in the next seven days. Here is that link: http://wichitaonthecheap.com/events
Hope that helps!
Carolyn
I wish i would have found out sooner about this deal but better late than never 🙂
What is the age limit and how much is it for adults?
There is no age limit and the movies are free to anyone of any age.
