Free Heart Screenings, National Wear Red for Heart Health Day

heart health screenings Wesley, American Heart AssociationWesley Medical Center and the American Heart Association are sponsoring free heart screenings on Friday, February 3, 2012 at two Meritrust Credit Union locations. Screenings will include blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol levels.

Screenings will be available between 10 a.m. and noon at Meritrust at 21st & Tyler or Pawnee and Oliver. For full details (and to possibly score a free t-shirt), visit the Wesley Heart Health Facebook page. You can also get more information about the Go Red for Women program from Wesley Medical Center at the Wesley website.

February is “Go Red” month, designed to raise awareness of heart health for women and Friday, specifically, is “Wear Red” day.
