Have you ever wanted to stomp grapes just like Lucille Ball on I Love Lucy? Now your dreams can become reality. Grace Hill Winery is hosting a grape stomp on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from noon to 6 pm. Starting at noon, you can help pick the secondary growth grapes in the vineyard. These are the extra grapes that the vines have grown that won’t get ripe enough to use for making wine. These extra grapes will be thrown into a large bins and you will have the opportunity to stomp them!
This family-friendly event is FREE and there is no need to RSVP. Just come and join in the fun. After all of that grape stomping, if you have worked up an appetite, there will be a pop up restaurant with food for purchase. The patio bar will also be stocked with wine and beer to buy. There will be several flavorful dishes available from Chef Roberto Simmons for $3 each.
Grace Hill Winery is located at 6310 S. Grace Hill Rd. in Whitewater, KS. It is approximately a 30 minute drive from Wichita. Since this is an outdoor event, check the Facebook event page if the weather looks iffy, for any changes.
