On Saturday, October 9, 2010 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. you’ll find all manner of vendors and experts on fitness, sports, nutrition, health and wellness, medical technology, and senior living gathered at Century II Exhibition Hall. This is a free event sponsored by Via Christi Health and inspired by the 10-10-10 Challenge issued by Wichita Mayor Carl Brewer.
The Fit For Life Expo will offer participants resources for making healthy lifestyle changes.
On Sunday, October 10, 2010 (10-10-10), the streets of Wichita will be ablaze with the Prairie Fire Marathon runners. There will be a marathon, a half-marathon, a 5K challenge, and a Fun Run/Walk. You can register for these races or get spectator information at PrairieFireMarathon.com. (If you’re going to register for any of the event, get the early bird discount by signing before October 7th, 2010. You can register for the marathon only at the Expo, but for a higher fee. There will be no race-day registration.)
