Derby Easter Egg Hunts

Sharing is caring!

The Derby Recreation Commission has a whole host of Easter egg hunts happening in 2022. Check them out below.

There are even events for older kids (yay!) ages 11-14 and events for dogs too!

Derby Teen Egg Hunt

Teens ages 11-14 will have a fun time hunting for Easter eggs in the dark! On Friday night, April 8, 2022 from 8:15 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. older kids (ages 11-14) can enjoy an egg hunt in the dark. Eggs filled with candy and prizes – including grand prizes of $75 and $50 gift cards – will be hidden throughout Garrett Park. Participants need to have a flashlight and a bag to collect the eggs. They also must bring a USD 260 student ID. More info

PAWsome Egg Hunt for Dogs

Why should people get to have all the fun? The PAWsome egg hunt on April 9, 2022 is just for dogs, and costs $5 per dog. They’ll have fun collecting treat-filled and prize-filled eggs, and can even have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Understandably, all dogs need to be current on vaccinations, non-aggressive, and not in heat; plus, you’ll need to keep them on a leash at all times. Large and small dogs will have separate egg-hunting areas. At the southeast corner of Garrett Park in Derby on April 9 from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. More info

Egg Dip at the Derby Rec Center Indoor Pool

You don’t need to wait until summer to go swimming! Derby Rec Center has an indoor pool, and on Saturday, April 9 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. they’ll have a an egg hunt in the pool! The price is just $7 for a family of four, and $1 each additional. Bring buckets to collect eggs. You do not need to be a member. More info

Derby Easter Egg Hunt

Kids up to age 10 can hunt for candy and visit the Easter Bunny in High Park on Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Kids will be divided into age groups for the hunt. Arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your child’s age group is scheduled to hunt. Don’t forget to bring a basket! More info
