So its free admission tomorrow from 9 to 2? Just through those times? Do u have to be there by 9 to get the free admission? Or is it all day until 2 u get the free admission.. I was already planning a trip tomorrow to bring my kids before i seen it was free admission.. Just wondering so i can plan to leave earlier tomorrow then i had planned. Thanks
I don’t think you have to be there by 9. There’s a link in the post where you can go for more information.
This event has always been available on a school day and offered to classes. It includes educational booths and activities based on the Earth and conservation. It also offers classes to school children. It is an amazing day to celebrate the Earth with school children and has been a great way for teachers to include in their curriculum. I think it is WONDERFUL that it has now been extended to include the general public and thank YOU greatly for sharing the event! It also hasn’t always happened on the actual date of Earth Day, it is usually the week of. I personally thank you and the zoo for the great consideration shown to kiddos in and around Wichita.
Yes, it’s terrific that they do events like this. They have other free or deeply discounted admission days during the year too, which is – in my opinion – a really nice thing to do for the community.
Thanks for offering this opportunity! I’m aware that the zoo offers other free days nice this one is special hours so may not be as crowded!! Thank you zoo for your generosity!!!
Q: What is the website for the zoo to see or get the zoo membership passes?
There’s a link in the article that goes directly to the event, but the URL for the zoo’s website is http://www.scz.org
This really needs to be on a weekend instead of during the wk while kids are in school. And w/that being said It would last longer than 14:00 Pm so us parents or don’t have to take kids out of school just to take them to the zoo. Just a little bit of consideration is all.
Thank you for taking comments.
The zoo offers other free admission days throughout the year, Sherrie. This particular event has always been during the school day so teachers can bring their kids. And they aren’t even charging admission, which shows a great deal of consideration in my opinion.
And I’m not sure about this, but I think originally it may have been *just* for schools, so it’s great that they’re extending the free admission to the general public.
For the other free days throughout the year, stay tuned to my website or theirs. And Zoo memberships are a really affordable way to bring large families to the zoo with unlimited visits and special activities!
THANK you for the hard work you’ve put in to help families find free or cheap things to do. We’re on fixed income and raising two young grandsons. Some of us actually appreciate you and your efforts.
Donna, thank YOU for your kind words. You don’t know how much they mean to me. Glad I can help lessen the stress while you get the important job done of raising our next generation.
Just wondering, why is this not actually on Earth Day?
I don’t know, but it was on a Thursday last year too, so Thursday must work better for what they’re doing.
So how do I register to get in so me and my husband can go
As I understand it, you don’t need to register unless you’re bringing a class. You can just go during the hours of the Fair.
