I would be interested in this class! K-State Research and Extension is having a food preservation class at the Sedgwick County Extension Center in June.
In the Preserve it Fresh, Preserve it Safe class, you’ll learn how to properly preserve your homegrown garden produce in various ways, including:
- pressure canning
- water bath canning
- dehydrating
- freezing
Space is limited for the class, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 28, 2019. Make sure to register with the Extension Center here.
The cost is $35, and lunch is included. You can pay online with PayPal or credit card, or you can send a check.
Free or cheap things to do this week in Wichita
Hello Carolyn,
I am interested in taking a canning class. The class in June is filled up and that’s okay because I will be busy moving in June but would love to know if there will be another canning class later in the summer or early fall?
Thank you,
Caroline
