Here’s a unique opportunity to see Cowtown in a different light – and at a reduced admission price! Old Cowtown Museum will be open at night on the First Friday of the month.
This month will be a special Cowtown Under the Stars event, with the Wichita Wagonmasters serving up chili and drinks. A lot of people really missed the chili cookoff this year, so here’s your opportunity to have a taste of it in 2020 while enjoying the ambience of the Old West.
(And Saturday they’ll recreate an old 1870s style County Fair! You’ll want to catch that event too.)
If you’ve never been to Cowtown at night, it’s a different experience. For one, it’s a lot cooler after that Old West sun sets. 🙂
But to me, it also seems more immersive, walking along the old streets of Wichita, seeing the windows lit up and glowing, friendly folks – and perhaps the friendly Marshall or Sheriff – saying howdy as they pass you.
Cowtown Under the Stars will be available from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the first Friday of the month.
Admission is also discounted! $6 per person gets you a “night full of history and old west fun.” Members get in free!
