Exploration Place is staying open until 8 pm from Thursday, December 19 through January 4, 2025 (with the exception of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day). It’s a fantastic option for entertaining out-of-town family or keeping the kids engaged during their winter break from school.

The Dome
The Dome is a 60-foot screen with 360-degree view with great surround sound. Exploraiton Place will be having shows, including The Dark Side of the Moon, playing daily at 4:00 and 7:30 pm. Visit their website for more info.
Live Science
Catch a Live Science Show. Each show is performed in the Live Science Theater, which is also called the Kemper Theater. Each show is between 20 – 30 minutes and is appropriate for all ages. These are a must to experience on your visit. Get your Live Science Show Tickets Here.
Exploration Store
The Explore Store is set to welcome visitors for some eleventh-hour holiday shopping. If you haven’t had the chance to explore it yet, you’ll discover a treasure trove of cool gifts. Personally, I found some fantastic presents for my nephew during my visit last week. However, the ultimate gift you can consider is a membership. This thoughtful gesture extends the joy throughout the entire year, allowing recipients to craft countless memories through exciting events and constantly evolving exhibits. New Years
The extended hours cover New Year’s Eve as well, making it a delightful option for those with little ones to exhaust their energy if you prefer not to keep them awake until midnight.
On Christmas Eve, Exploration Place is open 10 am – 5 pm and closed on Christmas Day.
