Live the Good Life for Less & Never Miss a Deal

Dive In Movies from Wichita Park and Recreation

Sharing is caring!

Whoop! Two of our favorite summer activities in one: summer movies and swimming! The Wichita Park and Recreation Department will be hosting three inexpensive dive-in movies this summer – and they aren’t just for kids!

The movies will be shown at Wichita public swimming pools in the evenings.

The price is only $3 for ages 13 and up; $2 for ages 3-12! What a deal!!

Kids under 2 can come, and they’re free, but they must be within arms’ reach of you the entire night. (Safety first!)

The first movie is scheduled for June 15, 2019. (This may have been cancelled; I can’t find it again.)

You know, this being Kansas and this event being held outdoors, to double-check the schedule before you head out in case of any weather-related delays or cancellations.

Doors will open at 8 p.m. and movies begin around 8:30 p.m.

They’ll even provide the inner tubes for kicking back in the pool to watch the movie! You can also bring a towel or a folding chair to sit on the deck.

Coolers are allowed, but no alcohol, glass containers, or non-plastic silverware. If you don’t want to lug a cooler, they will have concessions for sale!

Everyone must wear proper swim attire to be in the pool.

The schedule for the Dive-In Movies as it stands right now is:

  • June 22, 2019 – Moana at Aley Swimming Pool
  • August 10, 2019 – The Goonies at College Hill Swimming Pool
  • August 10, 2019 – Moana at Aley Swimming Pool

To check the future movies or to find out about any weather-related changes, call (316) 268-4390. Tickets can be purchased at the pool (1800 S Seneca St., Wichita, KS 67213) during regular business hours.

For more information, to express your interest, or to ask questions, visit the Facebook event page for the first movie.

  1. Hello! We apologize, but there was a mistake made with ticket prices. The prices should be $3 per person for ages 13+ and $2 per person for ages 3-12. Kids 2 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased at the pool (1800 S Seneca St., Wichita, KS 67213) during regular business hours. Thank you and sorry for any inconvenience!
