CYT Wichita Presents: Mary Poppins

Sharing is caring!

Christian Youth Theater will be performing Disney’s Mary Poppins at Isely Elementary School November 3-5, 2016. This will be a show that both adults and children will enjoy.

The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren’t the only ones she has a profound effect upon. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that “Anything can happen if you let it.”

You’ll save $2 on admission by purchasing tickets in advance through the CYT website. Adult tickets are $15 ($13 in advance), while seniors and students will pay $11 ($13 at the door). Scout troops and other groups may receive a discount for the Thursday evening performance. Tickets may be purchased at cytwichita.org or by calling 682-1688.

Shows are November 3, 4, and 5, 2016. Each evening the show will begin at 7 p.m. and there is also a Saturday matinee at 2 p.m. The performances will be held at Isely Elementary School, 5256 N. Woodlawn Bel Aire, KS 67220.

    1. Oh, yes! Thank you for the correction. I’ve changed it now to read $11 in advance ($13 at the door).

And yes! I’m sure they’ll be in costume and have a set, props, everything. Live orchestra too!
