The annual Gingerbread Village will be held at Exploration Place on Saturday and Sunday, November 9 and 10, 2019.
The Assistance League is partnering again this year with Exploration Place to hold one of Wichita’s favorite family-friendly holiday events.
It’s a great deal, too: You and the kids will be able to make your own gingerbread house, view houses constructed by skilled bakers, and tour the Exploration Place exhibits.
This year they’ll have live performances of holiday tunes by The Noteables and Butler Community College’s Smorgaschords quartet.
Exploration Place members pay only $5 admission to Gingerbread Village. The cost for non-members is $10.50 for adults, $9 for seniors (65+), and $7 for children ages 3-11. (Kids 2 and younger get in free.)
Admission includes a gingerbread house kit and, as I mentioned above, all Exploration Place exhibits.
Proceeds from Gingerbread Village benefit Assistance League of Wichita philanthropic programs.
The Gingerbread Village is available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. This event is a holiday tradition for many Wichita families!
Tickets are available at the door.

Hi! My daughter Emma just turned 5, and may want to partake in the activity. Who would I contact to get her eligible to attend? See, I was reading the prices and noticed that ages 3, 4, and 5 were excluded from the list of ages. Since that would be DISCRIMINATION, I would like to know who I have to petition to get my daughter in. Thank you in advance for your help in resolving the issue at hand.
Hey, Emma’s Dad, you’re right! Sorry I didn’t notice the omission. I checked the “for more info” link and it says admission for children ages 3-11 is $6.
I’ll get that fixed ASAP. (Whew! So glad we didn’t have petition Gingerbread Village!)
