Welcome, Santa! Enjoy fun activities for the whole family at the Andover Hometown Christmas celebration on December 11, 2025.

The Andover Hometown Christmas holiday event will be held at Central. Bring the whole family to enjoy Christmas festivities at the park.

Central Park will be transformed into a winter wonderland with luminaries lining the sidewalks, illuminated trees, and activities for everyone.

Additional activities will take place at City Hall, in the Andover Public Library, and outside in Central Park.

Andover Hometown Christmas Activities

  • Tree lighting ceremony (starts at 5:30 p.m.)
  • Horse-drawn/Hay wagon rides – This event will have hay rack rides
  • Photo opportunities for the entire family
  • Light show throughout the park and at the Capitol Federal Amphitheater
  • Photos with Santa
  • Letters to Santa, holiday crafts, and more
  • S’mores with First Responders
  • Live music
  • and more!

Hometown Christmas in Andover is back and better than ever! The festivities kick off at 4:30 p.m. and run until 8 p.m., with the tree lighting taking place at 6 p.m. (just as it gets dark enough for that perfect holiday glow).

Families can enjoy a full evening of free and festive fun at Central Park. Stop by for photos with Santa, kids’ crafts, live music, hayrack rides, s’mores with first responders, and warm up with hot beverages while you take in the lights. Activities will be spread throughout Central Park at the Andover Public Library, City Hall, the Capitol Federal Amphitheater® stage, and inside the Lodge.

Be sure to take a moment to enjoy the dazzling light show set to music at the Capitol Federal Amphitheater and throughout the park—it’s a must-see highlight of the night!

Hometown Christmas isn’t just about the fun—it’s also about giving back. Guests are encouraged to bring canned goods or cash donations to support the local Caring and Sharing program and the Andover Food Bank.

How much does Hometown Christmas cost?

Admission to Andover Hometown Christmas is FREE, but a donation of canned/staple food items, new toys, or money are requested, which will be distributed to deserving Andover families through the local Caring & Sharing program and the Andover Food Bank.
