Wichita on the Cheap

Live the Good Life for Less & Never Miss a Deal

Park City, KS 4th of July Celebration 2026

Looking for a place to celebrate Independence Day this year? Park City, just 14 miles north of downtown Wichita, is packed with 4th of July events to get you in the celebration mood, and dont forget about Gilley’s. If you haven’t been, check out my Gilley’s on a Budget article.

Kick off the morning with a parade at 9 a.m. that starts near 61st and Hydraulic and moves towards Hap McLean Park.

Afterward, head to Hap McLean Park for 4 hours of food, fun, music, and games. (There is free ice cream while supplies last!)

Finally, it wouldn’t be a proper 4th of July celebration without fireworks, so come back at 10 pm for a display presented by Crosswinds Casino. (Tip: Parking is pretty tight, so we suggest getting there early for less of a hassle.)
