This is the season for neighborhood and community block parties in the Wichita area. We’ve found several events around town that are free and open to neighbors and friends.
Some of these have a back-to-school theme, while others simply celebrate the end of summer or beginning of fall.

August 1

August 6
National Night Out for Haysville The Haysville Police Department will host National Night Out event from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on August 6, 2019. This event for the Haysville community will include free hot dogs and fruit, an officer dunk tank, free admission to the Haysville Pool, Kohl’s Safety Town, and police demonstrations. 523 Sarah Ln. in Haysville. more info

August 11
4th Annual Back2School Block Party from ICT Launchpad. Free backpacks, school supplies, dental screenings, haircuts (for the first 50 kids) face-painting, fire truck, dancing, community resources and more to help youth and families get started off on the right foot. 1156 N. September 7
