$5 Movies at OldTown Theater Grille on Wednesdays

Can you believe it? On Wednesdays, see new release for only $5. That special excludes seating in the Director’s Suite and 3D movies, but you can get 3D movie tickets there for only $8 on Wednesdays.

There’s a free parking garage next to the theater, and plenty of shops to browse in the plaza. If you plan on ordering food from the theater grill, you’ll want to be there half an hour in advance. I hear they always have a jazz pre-show to enjoy.

During the summer, movies at the OldTown Warren start as early as 3 p.m.

Apparently, the $5 Wednesday tickets are even available for online purchase. (NOTE: Whenever I order online or through a computerized system, I always verify that I’m getting the price I expect BEFORE continuing the checkout process. This is just a good rule of thumb and something I recommend, because computers–like humans who blog about deals and discounts–aren’t perfect.)

• The Warren OldTown Theater Grille also has discounts for college students and members of the military Sunday through Thursday. See the website for more details.
• Discounts are, or soon will be, available on Mondays and Tuesdays members of the Boeing Employees Association, employees of Sedgwick County, Cargill, and Cessna. Check with your employer to find out how to take advantage of the discounts, which are good for up to a family of 4.

I was told by the General Manager that “the OldTown Warren Theater Grille is the only all-digital, full-service luxury theater in the country.” See? Who says you can’t be living large when you’re living on the cheap? Doesn’t Wichita rock?

I did ask about the policy on their website that says, “No Patrons under 17 allowed after 8:00pm.” It doesn’t mean you can’t bring your kids to a movie that ends after 8pm; it just means no one under 17 should be arriving after 8pm.
