Friends University will present a virtual Winter Dance Celebration, a Friends University dance performance to usher in the holiday season.
Friends University Fine Arts has been hard at work on a line-up of new productions, shows and events. They chose to see the current restrictions on in-person events as an opportunity to do the arts in a wider variety of settings, formats and perspectives.
The Winter Dance production will be livestreamed on the Friends University Fine Arts Facebook page on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 7:30 p.m.
The dance improvisation class developed movement scores to seven original winter-themed poems. A special feature of the night will be a unique collaboration between the dance and English departments.
“It will be an evening of poetry, improvisation and beloved classical ballet variations,” said Ballet Director, Andrea Vazquez-Aguirre.
