This looks like a terrific opportunity for young musicians (of any age). The Wichita Blues Society holds a youth jam on the first Saturday of every month.
The jam sessions will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Underground, and all ages are welcome. The Underground is located at 1628 George Washington Blvd. in Wichita, beneath the Harry Reese Dance Studio.
This will be a family-friendly environment, and non-musicians are welcome to come to provide an audience for the young people!

Depending on what you play, jammers should bring a small amp, drum sticks, high-hat, cymbals; brass instruments, saxophones and vocalists encouraged to join us. Music will not be limited to the blues, but we are the Wichita Blues Society, so we will have blues musicians on hand to demonstrate and share blues fundamentals and songs, as well as help young musicians learn “jam ettiquette.”
