Wichita Art Museum Fall Exhibit Opening: Kansas Land

The Wichita Art Museum will open its fall exhibition, Kansas Land, with a special opening reception.

The exhibition will be on display through March 10, 2019. It features the recent work of two photographers – Larry Schwarm and Bryon Darby, who each worked in collaboration with a team of researchers – showing what Kansas farm life looks like in 2018 – from the fifth-generation farmer whose land has been passed down over generations to the first-generation sustainable farmer.

The opening party will be held Saturday, September 29 from 7-9 p.m. at the museum and will feature live music from The Haymakers. Photographers and university researchers will join attendees for a lively gathering.

Admission to the Kansas Land opening party is $10 for non-members and is free for WAM members.

You can find out more about the Kansas Land exhibition and the two photographers whose work is featured by visiting the Wichita Art Museum website.
